Question about Marking the Follow Focus

I recently purchased a CAVision follow focus and I'm really happy with it. Now, if I have an AC pulling focus for me, how do you mark the white wheel for focus marks? Tape? Special pen? Pencil?

probably grease pencil or whiteboard marker...either that or slices of gaffers tape...it's used every where else on set, why not here?

You'll want to use whiteboard marker, but be very careful testing it to make sure it wipes off. Some people will put white tape on and mark that. Also, have a few different colors of pen to mark different postions.

Thanks Cal and Cole. Yeah, I did a little more research and found that the dry-erase markers are typically used. I guess I'll get a few fine-tip markers and try them out. Thanks!
