Just after the name of the forum software used here?

My phpbb forums were hacked recently, so I'm looking for a more solid and secure solution. Can someone let me know the name of the software used here?

Cheers
Aaron

This is the mighty vBulletin forum software, of course. It is without a doubt the best you can buy (before getting into the high-end, expensive enterprise solutions, that is). DV Info Net was the very first online community in this particular market to adopt vBulletin, and a lot of other message boards that cater to digital video in one form or another have followed our lead. The basic leased license is under $100 per year and worth every penny.

vBulletin, that's it. I had heard the name somewhere just couldn't recall it.

Thanks Chris

If your looking for an excellent message board program, I personally think phpBB is the best out there.

That was the problem, I was using phpbb and it got hacked. I do think it's great, and I was several point releases behind, but I have a little more faith in commercial ventures to try and nail their security. Also the software here and on DVXUser.com is better than phpbb, especially with its dynamic menus etc.

Lol, don't be so quick to judge software security based on whether its commercial or not.

I work for Rackspace Managed Hosting (www.rackspace.com) and we use all sorts of free and open-source technology that is non-commercial just like phpBB. (Apache web server, MySQL, PHP, Ruby, and A LOT more...). These tend to be much more secure and stable then their Microsoft (commercial) or Oracle (commercial) counterparts :) And of course, Rackspace is the best!!

Anyhow, the forum software here is very nice too...not disputing that...
