Moving Equpt from cold->warm room

Hi all,

I did something kinda stupid today. I left my camera in the truck when i came into work. It's been out there all day, around 45-55 degrees today. I am shooting a conference tonight and I imagine the building will be rather warm. So the thing I'm worried about is moving the camera from the truck to the room, it seems like I will easily get condensation.

My question is, how would you suggest I prevent this? I was thinking of removing my camera from the case its in and slowly letting the temp in my truck warm up to the temp of the conference room (on the drive over, for instance). That would theoretically warm up the camera slowly also and prevent condensation.

Is there another way to help reduce the risk at this point?

It's not the temperature change that is the problem, it is the humidity that can condense during this situation that causes issues like tape sticking to the heads. Keep the camera in it's case and let it warm up slowly! If the camera is in an airtight case, it can be brought up to temperature quickly if there is not a lot of moisture already in the case. You are fortunate that you live in a desert as the moisture will be a bit less.
