Can't Get DVin & RM95 Emulator To Comm with Camera
I've made a LANC interface cable and connected a Sony camcorder in hopes of using DVin_lite & RM95 Emulator to modify it.
Having followed the instructions on various websites and made sure all the connections are right, it looks like there might be a problem with the LPT COM port settings. I can't think of any other reason why this isn't working. When I run DVin_lite I get a windows error message "DVin_lite has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." |
My guess would be that it is trying to directly access the port and you are on an NT-based operating system....

So I can either find a Win95/98 machine OR find an RM95 remote on eBay.
I can't believe I overlooked that little piece of info about the emulator. I guess it’s back to the proverbial drawing board for me. |
I got both DVin Lite and RM95 programs to run on XP in compatability mode with Win95. But, I keep getting an error message that the LPT1 port isn't getting a signal from the camera. I fiddled with the BIOS settings and the port settings for a while, but I still get the same error.
