Mac vs PC

Hey all--
Is there anyone out there who can give a first hand argument over which is better out of the box for editting. A PC or a Mac? There seems to be a war over which is best. The most answers "WIN". New or old computers. It dont matter. The people I have talked to,started with a Mac and love it.And the same goes for the PC. SOOoo?

I don't think it really matters anymore to be honest....I believe it comes down to prefrence. Great work is coming from both platforms. That being said, I personally use PC because I bulid my own computers, and there is a large availability of software & support. I don't believe one platform is inferior to the other. They both have their advantages and disadvantages. What are you familiar with? What is going to be the easiest platform for YOU? We could gab all day and night debating which is better, just like the old Intel / AMD debate, but these debates are typically usless because it comes right back down to prefrence.

Brett, the answer is really whatever you can be productive with. Kit is right, it doesn't really matter anymore.

Not on this site there isn't. We don't do platform wars here.

Thanks to Kit for the best possible answer. Case closed,
