Capturing NASA World Wind

Hallo,

i´m just in the middle of a project where im shooting in France, Switzerland and Germany (shooting in HDV 1080 50i and 25p, downconverting to sd after edit etc.).
Yesterday a saw some news of the new NASA World Wind release.
My first idea was: "cool, thats how you´ll link your different locations".
Has anybody tried to somehow record/capture a WW Animation?
Or is there a (freeware) software that creates clips out of WW?

THX for your help

Rolf, thanks for the tip on the new version. I check every now and then, but hadn't seen this update to v1.4.

Looks like they've taken the Movie Recorder plug-in out for some reason. The version I have installed, v1.3.5, has it although I've never used it. If the built-in Movie Record serves your purposes, you could just stick with v1.3.5. Otherwise, here are some alternative recommendations:

Thanks for the link, i think the "Movie Recorder plug-in" will meet my needs. It´s just not included in the WW 1.4 Download ;)

I recently did something similar with google earth and used "Fraps" it worked really well and saved spending $400 on google earth pro, fraps is only $37 and should come in handy for other stuff, you can try a demo

I use Camtasia for screen captures from my computer. It produces several types of files, including Flash.

It is so good, I even use it to convert all my videos to flash, not just computer screen captures.

The cost is a little steep ($300) but it is a truly pro level product.
