HV20 vs FX1

I saw some footage of the HV20, and quite frankly the image quality blows me away for a small form factor camcorder. How does it compare to the Sony FX1 (which I have)?

Hope this is the right forum to ask such a question.

Ian:

I have both. My thread on my experience and some comparison is here:

This weekend I was at a park, and shot both cameras side by side at a park in Chico, California. I later captured footage to a hard drive, and when I returned home, I had a hard time sorting out which footage was which.

I did note in initial tests that the HV20 in auto tends to blow out a bit, and I think FX1 is definitely better in low light situations, but the image off the HV20 is spectacular in most situations.

Like chris it's hard to tell sometimes... that alone means alot... but the manual control of the FX1 makes it the better cam for me.
