How can you fix idle FCP import?

Hi all,
I've been trying to pull in some 720/30p PH footage from my HMC150 using FCP's Log and Transfer window. I have a clip that is 56 minutes long, and somewhere in the middle of a very long import, the machine goes idle and I get a red exclamation point.

And then that's it. No footage. So I try again, and again. Same story.

My shorter clips come in (although they're at twice the speed, which is a completely different issue). And you apparently cannot set IN/OUT points to break the clip up (though I did try). It has to come in whole. The clip plays just fine in the Log and Transfer window, so at least I know my footage is there.

Does anyone have any idea how I can get this footage into FCP?
