Ag-dv200 vs ag-hmc 150

I know this is a weird comparison but I have a question. I have been doing weddings for like 20 years in that time the best camera I ever owned was a AG-DV200 full size DV. It was great in low light and handled different lighting situations great. I then got my current HD cameras GY-HD100s which of course suck light like a black hole and dont give a very good picture even with light. How close to the days of the AG-DV200 have we come? does the HMC 150 compare? Or do I need to spend ALOT more money to get close to my favorite camera of yester year?

Randy,
I run 2 DV200s as my main cameras for field work at the university I work at. I also have a Sony Z1u. The DV200 with a good lens blows away the Z1u in low light and mixed light. They are just workhorses. I assume that a lot has to do with the DV200 having 1/2" chips and the Z1u have 1/3" chips. The 150 also has 1/3" chips. But then again the 150 shoots AVCHD and the DV200 doesn't. I wish the 200s shot native 16x9, then you would have a great camera that fits in today's aspect ratio.

id love to be able to put the two next to each other I know the HMC 150 only has 1/3 inch chips but I heard they have come along way. The AG-DV200 was so forgiving on less than perfect lighting condidtions.

If you can afford it, the Panasonic HPX500 should be an option if your biggest concern is lowlight capabilities.

Sorry WAY out of my price range, I think I will hold on to my JVCs until lower end cameras get better. My next purchase needs to be my last for a while.
