AG-HMC80 firewire output

Can anyone confirm if the date/time stamp comes through the firewire out put on this camera? I know it does not on some Panny cams.
Thanks

Hey Carl

Are you sure the 80 has a firewire output??? Being a card based camera I figured they would omit it????
I haven't seen any mention of firewire in the specs????

Chris

According to the manual, the HMC80 uses the Firewire port while in DV mode only. It is not used at all when in AVCHD mode.

How do you get the SDHC cards into FCP? Do I need a converter or card reader or what?

in AVCHD I just plug a USB 2.0 in and run Log & Transfer?

thanks.

Hi Jimmy

Regardless of NLE, surely you simply copy the contents of the "Stream" folder onto your drive??? I have a built-in card reader so I find it's easier to just take the card out and pop it into the drive and copy the files onto one of my portable drives. In DV Mode the folder will have AVI files not MTS

I assume that FCP can import Panasonic MTS AVCHD video files as well as DV-AVI????
