looking forward to new pannie 160!
 

i am very much looking forward to the upcoming release of the new panasonic ag-ac160, the update to their hmc150.

specs are impressive:

Hi Rob

From my side sadly they are handheld and I bet the EVF is again one of those 0.24" LCD's so it's like looking down a tunnel.

I really wish they would make a shoulder mounted HMC150 or AC160!!! My HMC80 is awesome and you will not find such a great EVF anywhere BUT all I need is 1/3" chips (in fact even bigger would be nice)

Guess one could drop the camera on an offset shoulder mount rig and strap a loupe and eyepiece to the LCD???

Nice specs and I like the Panny look too .. BnH says 'this is a new item being released in limited quantity' .. and the lens diameter is 72mm.

How to stir up sales away from the Canon 72mm cams.

A lot of folk will now be waiting till Nov 3 when Red and Canon go at it, not buying .. just waiting .. in case.
