-i set zebra button on then when the patterns disappear from the white areas i guess i well exposed area.
Is it correct?
I know that i have to buy the book and the dvd but i'll have to wait till next month

gracias guys

Re: Zebra workflow with the Af

Depends what you want your exposure to be, what your zebra levels are, and which one you're using.

Typical setup:
Zebra 1: 70-80% - typical level of specular highlights on caucasian skin. Levels will be 5-15% lower on black skin. Adjust exposure until zebras just appear at specular highlight points. Typically used when exposing for talent.

Zebra 2: 100% - pure white, nearly blown out. Typically used when you are exposing for environment.

Which you use and when you use them is ultimately up to you, of course - there is no hard rule on the "right way" to do it.

CAVEATS:
AF100 has been said to not deal well with highlights - overexposed highlights, especially when white balance is off on the AF, can get ugly fast.
- White balance properly
- reduce chroma levels (to avoid clipping individual color channels)
- use a scene file with a mid to low knee level
- don't overexpose and plan to bring up mids and shadows in post
