Does AF100 do anything the GH3 can't?

What benefits might an AF100 user have over using a GH3?
(Ergonomics and control aside~)

Two XLR inputs, 16 bit uncompressed PCM audio, a wide range of variable frame rates, built in NDs, Synchro scan, HD-SDI output, 4:2:2 external output, focus peaking, WB adjustment while recording, two SD slots, internal card duplication, proper anti-twist tripod plate attachment, WFM, vector scope, external TC syncing, pre-record, remote stop/start and focus/zoom/iris control (with pz lens), record for 4 hours on one battery...

Other than that, not much I can think of.

That's a great answer, Kevin.

And, conversely, there are things the GH3 can do, the AF100A can't:

- choice of codecs (AVCHD, MOV, MP4)
- bit rates above 28mbps
- high resolution still photographs and built-in flash
- wi-fi control and file sharing
- OLED LCD and EVF displays
- ISO options above 3200

I certainly hope Panasonic is working on an AF200 (or a GH5) that combines the best of these two cameras.

And let's not forget RAW. My next micro 4/3 camera is likely to be a Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera if Panasonic doesn't offer RAW with the AF200 or GH5 :)

Cheers,

Bill
