Share GS100K experience

Hi everybody;
I've just bought the GS100 for 02weeks and i'm extremly w/ this cam for the color quality. Would any of you here who's used this cam may share your experience on your great cam? Due to GS100 is still new to me, I'd like to know the feature of Zebra pattern and picture adjustment-How to active the picture adjustment? And how Zebra pattern and picture Adj qualitily compare to normal modes?
Thank so much for your exchange experience.

Zebra is not recorded, it is a shooting aid. It tells you the over-exposed areas, and helps in manual exposure.

The picture quality controls allows you to set sharpness and saturation. More sharpness, noise more obvious. Less saturation, more greyish colours.

For my MX350, I shoot at sharpness -2 or -3 to reduce noise, and saturation -2 (my wife finds the reds too bright in 'normal' saturation). These sesttings are calibrated to my own TV at home.

I believe that the GS100 should be rather low in noise (CCD quality good, and software also good), so your sharpness may actually be at 0. If you go to + for sharpness, the edges may be unnatural looking (outlineed or with a halo).

Hi Yow Cheong Hoe;
Thank you very much for your promt reply. I'll try these features and let you know the result.

before you do that i would like to point out that you should never calibrate ur cam to the tv unless the tv is calibrated using color bars. the better alternative is to get a picture that looks good on ur cam and calibrate the tv to the screen on ur cam when in color bar mode. Just a suggestion
Justin
