GS100 vs. DV953

I am considering ordering a GS100 and yesterday ventured over to my local video store to check out the DV953. I would be grateful if someone can tell me the main differences between the two cameras and whether there is a distinct picture quality and low light improvement with the GS100. Although the 953 was an impressive looking camera, on a direct video quality comparison done in the store against a sony 950, the 950 seemed much better in all areas. Left me wondering how the GS100 would fair. Your comments would be greatly appreciated.

According to Allan Rojoso, Tommy H., etc, the GS100 is slightly better with lower light, better video quality, a much improved wide screen mode and an improved cassette door mechanism.
