GS 100 Batteries / filter size

Hi you all

just two quick questions , what is the US model # battery for the GS -100.. and any ideas about good places/ prices ... does B&H carry them> ?

what is the filter size.. 43mm? that is a guess.

by the way... I LOVE the GS-100K . THANK YOU THANK YOU ALLAN, FRANK.

would have never purchased it if it were not for Frank's initial information, and Allan's incredible knowledge and service. I miss my VX2000 (especially in low light) but this camera is what i need right now.. I carry it with me everywhere i go and am actually shooting again, baby, teaching job and all. It truly fits in a stroller!

This site and the people on it have truly shown me the power of the web!

Thanks, Kristin. Yes, the filter size is 43mm.

Regarding the US model batteries, I'll do a seach here later, but I'm sure one of our helpful members will jump in with this information by then. Okay, I copied these 2 posts:

GS100 and GS70 use exactly the same battery. Model no. in the US is not the same as in Jap but if the CGA-DU21 works for the GS70, then its gonna work fine for the GS100. Just get the biggest on-cam batt that fits. Have you checked the batt seller in HK? For equivalent batteries, try to check sabahoceanic.com ---Allan.

I bought the du-21 bat from B&H along with some tapes and a bag. works fine and should last longer than the one supplied. ---Dave
If you hit the search button, type in, GS100 batteries, specify the MX Forum, you'll get tons of battery threads/posts.

The battery model is the CGA-DU14 (1600mAh) or the CGA-DU21(2040mAh), it's the same battery that fits the N. American GS70.

If you don't need a lot of power use the CGA-DU07. It it more streamilned. I use that battery configuration with the camera when bicycling as it fits easy in a fanny pack.
