PV-DV953 a good peeka-boo cam?

Compiling a sneak home video.

Is the PV-DV953 a good peeka-boo cam? Sure it is! It's small, easy to hold, high resolution and has the better OIS anti-shake thing. Here's what you do. Buy a PV-DV953 and hide. Then poke the cam around the corner and press the record button. Stop, and run away to hide again. Peep around another corner, and if your subject is there, you know what to do: press the record button. Keep doing this until your Fuji miniDV tape is full. Dump it on a VHS tape, or DVD, and watch at your leisure. Say you are at a picnic with your family and/or friends. Just think about the possibilities in creating your very own peeka-boo video. The news networks do this all the time while the press do it with stills. Got any other good peeka-boo tips?

PS: the Panasonic PV-DV953 is going for a good deal right now at B&H.

frank what are you smoking. i never thought like this. could you imagine what you could do with the gs-200 then. wouldn't that be great if they have infact fixed the image stabilizer. have they???

I don't know how good the GS200's stabilizer is, but I do know it would be better for peeka-boo in the dork, or dorker than a PV can handle.

I don't drink nor smoke the funny stuff---just 2 coffees a day and 5 pipe-fulls of pipe tobacco (a day).

Can you imagine what our good friend BB could do with a 953. Now that man could make a Panny sing and with existing light.

BB specifically uses the poker shaped low light Pana called the MX8..., MX1000 in Japan and PV-DV852 in North America. I'm not sure if he liked the 953, because it's not poker shaped and not good in low light / free 'n easy settings. Peeka-boo shooting is right up there with run 'n gun, just a little bit more sneaky than brash. :-))

I once climbed on a shed roof and lied down for hours recording good camcorder video. At the lake once I climb a tree and recorded video of bikines. I almost fell but did not but dropped my Canon on the ground. My zr20 was not hurt and the video was very very good. Always be careful in trees.
