please help

Ok.. So I recently ordered a Panasonic DVC30.. it's been great.

all the sudden, when watching playback.. the film looks extremely "zebra'd" and choppy.. and just all over the place.. like.. a dirty tape or something..

what could this be? a setting somewhere? zebra is turned off.. or is my camera done for? I still have time to send it back.

extremely appricated

Ok, I'll bite.

Have you tried a head cleaner yet?

Patricia Kim September 3rd, 2004 11:17 AM

Are you recording over and over on the same tape?

Frank Granovski September 4th, 2004 08:40 PM

Sounds like dirty heads, for whatever reason.

Loren White September 5th, 2004 06:16 PM

Well, for whatever reason.. within 5 uses the cameras heads were dirty because the cleaning solution worked.

thanks!

Always a good idea to run a head cleaning cassette first thing with any new camcorder, before loading that first tape.
