Fuzzy LCD and EVF

LCD and Viewfinder are fuzzy on a Panasonic GS series camcorder, but the unit will record to tape and playback on a monitor just fine.

Is this issue repairable? Got many repair shop quotes ranging from 130-250 flat rate, but no one will say if it is repairable or not before shipping it out. Most repair centers will not charge you if its not repairable, but I'd just like to know if anyone out there has had something like this fixed. If so, what was your experience. Shop recommendations greatly appreciated.

Not sure about the LCD, maybe the EVF is out of focus?

Can you take a picture that shows what you mean by fuzzy? In my mind it could mean any number of things...

I don't have the cam in hand. Fuzzy means totally unwatchable, it needs repair, not just a question of focus.

Isn't there a focus adjustment diopter somewhere underneath the EVF?

yes there is a diopter, however, this is not a focus issue, not even close, in fact you can't even make out the outlines of a subject.

Then something is wrong and it sounds like a service call.
