Young,

The pics are orange'ish which make me think the white balance is set for auto / daylight. Try manually white balancing. Or use the tungsten / fluorescent white balance setting. Don't have an MX5000, but I get the same effect with my cam. To me low light gets even worse, if the white balance is off.

The settings were: 30P, 1/60, 12dB.

As for WB, I deliberately used the daylight setting because the color tone overall was close to what I saw w/ my eyes. Since I was just videotaping an event, I didn't want to manipulate color differently.
