MX300 Macro shooting
 

Has anybody here used the MX300 for extreme Macro shooting? Are there any tubes or lens' available that would allow me to do macro shots of small coins and circuit boards, etc. Really close up stuff?

A close-up filter should do the trick. as a matter of fact, I am about to buy a close-up +4 for my still and video cams.

Hmm.. I tried out the +4 close-up, not significant, skip it.

The cam's basic macro is good enough, then. Use it at the widest angle zoom (1x) and you can focus all the way until the glass touch the object!

I just found a +10 macro lens, I might try it out. what was the problem with the +4?

I discovered that, even without any filters, the cam can touch the objects already. That being the case, no reason to have anymore close-up filters to try to focus.

Please let us know of your results with the +10.

The problem with using the camera in it's macro (wide-angle) position is that it get's very difficult to light the subject. I've just done a test for a video mag on the Lubot 10x close-up attachment. It works beautifully on the MX300 and if you'd like a copy of the article just email me.
