I shoot 30 progressive mode and it looks very nice film look style however I shoot car races, I went to the track last weekend and filmmed with two cams nd filter shutter open, f stop don't remember, but when the cars are moving the picture comes out blurry, when I shoot it regular 30 it dosen't but it dosen't look good,

What shutter speed did you use?

60i is the way to shoot action :)

I used 30 I saw there is 60 and 52.5 what is the diffrence

Interesting effect! Almost Matrix'ish- how'd you pull it off?

there is a piece of software out there that is real cheap and lets you morph clips together to make it... can't remember where it is but it works well after a few tries.

it's winomrph and it's free, however, I tried and the morph looked like a disolve, and I had my point set, also just to let you knoe it was shot with the dvx

Per initial question, use the fastest shutter speed possible when shooting action unless you want blurred look. With 30P and 24P you have to be much more careful how you shoot action than 60i. In other words, 24P takes more skill to shoot moving shots, dollies, pans, trucks, fast action.

That's why film schools are snapping up the DVX100 - for future film shooters to learn the joys and limitations of 24 fps.
