PAL 25P & 25PA? difference?

What factor would diffrenciate the PAL 25P and 25PA?
Not like the NTSC, there is no pulldown..

I could not distinguish the picture quality change on my 36"TV.

There must be the reason for including that advanced mode.

Could anyone tell me what it is?

Thanks.

My guess would be thin and thick vertical resolution settings?

exactly
and the master pedestal is runnign a lil lower.. this gives a greater "blackness" in the darker are of the pic, which comes in handy when doing weddings as you can print some awsome pics :)

Oh... so.. It is only one of the picture appearance adustment preset.

I have some other questions...

Does all DVX100 camcorder make any sound(similar to the O.I.S lens sounds when tilt the camcorder, turned off) near the viewfinder when tilt the camcorder to any direction?

Operating the zoom control make such loud noise?

Can I control iris and shutter speed manually, when the AWB is activated?

Thank you.

yes they all have that strange "loose nut" sound... LOL the sound is within the lens barrel

Zoom noise is almost non existant..
If yoru mic volume levels are too high they will be audible, but i wouldnt recommend mic levels any hier than halfway or maybe 60% rotation...

as for the iris etc, if its set to auto, no, but you can set the level of how far the iris can go while it is set to auto...

Thank you for your help.

but.. are you talking about the sound relating to O.I.S function when the camcorder is turned off?

I hear another "loose nut"(lol, suits nicely with that sound) sound from the viewfinder when the camcorder is turned on.
If I fold the viewfinder vertically the sound is reduced.
The sound occur when I tilt the camcorder forward or backward.

For the zoom noise.. I was refering to the actual sound, heard from the outside of camera, not recorded one...

I have another question...
Does any AV cable to connect with TV, suppose to be included in the pacakge?
