Guys, I use Sony MDR-7506's, and I've got to say there's absolutely no problem with headphone volume with those. I can pick up every little rumble of a car passing by outside, or if there's a fan on in another room, etc.

I don't know what the problem is with headphone volume (obviously there's some sort of mismatch because many, many people are complaining about it) but from my experience the Sony MDR-7506's are perfectly matched to the DVX.

Hmm, that's interesting. For me, 2 DVX's, 2 sets of MDR 7506's and both need boosting to equal the monitoring of the HHB when doing double system sound. Large difference with what you can detect. Maybe I need to take my partnter and go get de-waxed or something.
