What's the deal with Panasonic "Customer Support"

I have sent three or four questions regarding my DVX100 to Panasonic's customer support in the last two or three weeks and still NO REPLY from any of them. You would think they would have a little more courtesy towards people who just spent $3,500 on their product. I just wanted to know if anyone else has had this happen to them or could it simply be a fluke? I mean, I know they must get a lot of customer support questions, but two to three weeks with not one reply is ridiculous. Sorry, but I need to vent to someone.

I never expect responses back from any large company's customer support via email. I mean, I'll usually try email first in the rare case anyone actually reads it, but you usually have to pick up the phone and wade through 23 menu selections first to get a human who even has the potential to give you an answer.

Not to give any credence to Panasonic's business practices, but it's kind of par for the course with large companies. I agree though, it is ridiculous.

I just called their tech support line.. on friday got it from the site then pushed some buttons and it told me to call anbother 800 number where I waited about 20 minutes on hold.. Then I got in touch with a gentleman named Peter who seemed very knowledgable and helpfull.. spent time with small talk and was very personable.

Pain in the ass to find out how to get ahold of Pete and the wait was longer than I wanted to wait but I was given good service..
800 833 9626.. or 800 524.1448.. For some reason I have 2 numbers cant remember why,... Try that : ) thanks
