A Frame/Interlaced confusion

Sorry possibly "beating a dead hourse" but just recently I was directed to the article by Steve Mullen dealing with this issue (written about a year ago). I posted the thread here:
http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthread.php?s=&threadid=15693

and has been replied by the fellow where should I look for the answers...so I'm here. :-)

However, it was mentioned (or at least as I understood) the original article may still have cetain gaps in representing the technology covered therein, so perhaps theer si an updated stuff available on such issue that would clarify that major Frame/Progressive confusion exisitng among even advanced amateurs ?
After readign teh original article I still left with few questions uncovered, is here the right place to ask ?
(hope Steve Mullen is still out there or perhaps Stephen van Vuuren would also be so kind to enlight me ?) ?

Mind you, I'm not in the league of DVX100 shooters as a mojority of fellows here, I'm GS100 owner frequently showing up in MX Series board. (as many contemporary advanced amateur cams GS100 has Frame mode mistakably considered as a progressive by many users)

Check out the last couple of Adam Wilt's "Technical Difficulties" in DV Magazine. Part one is online:

Part 2 is in the current issue that just arrived in my mailbox.

Thanks Stephen, sounds interesting (will read it thoroughly a bit later), but I mostly was afetr technical aspects and understanding of Frame vs Progressive. Many users (even an experienced and educated) still confusing these approaches and with a foam out of their mough argue claiming that their cam's Frame mode is nothing else but a progressive - this one found in much more expensive models.

I guess bearing in mind this board specifically targetting the much talken DVX100 I hope considerably knowldege base among users here will help me to brush up my understanding.

Check the DV mag archives. Adam Wilt did a detailed frame mode vs. progressive article that will clear things up.

I can't find it either. Email DV magazine or call for the back issue.
