Need some information - is the LCD and viewfinder blurry? What focus settings are set on the camera? Have you adjusted the diopter?

Thanks
yes even the lcd and viewfinder are all blurry , it seems as if focus gets locked somehow and then after some restarts it is ok . I am almost finished finished shooting short but it happened about three times during shooting and just when the actors are ready and I am about to roll , turn the camera on and its all blurry, I try manual focus which brings the scene in focus but only at a certain point , if I zoom in or out it is all blurry. Then I have to reestart the camera about 4-5 tmes and then it is ok. I think focus gets locked somehow but everytime it is the same place.
Thanks

Check to make sure you have not engaged macro focus by accident (see the manual for details on how to engage). That's my guess.

i think you are right, it says macro on the screen
does that mean it is macro focus...how do I remove it?

Stephen van Vuuren February 6th, 2004 11:21 AM

I don't have a DVX100 - but I recall just moving the focus ring to disengage macro. It's covered in the manual. If you don't have a manual handy, there's a link in Terrance's page (see thread at top of forum) to download it or just visit support pages for panasonic.
