Just ordered my DVX-100A and need to know...
 

I just ordered my DVX-100A today. I am looking forward to getting it later in the week. I have a question though, do I need to charge the battery for 12 hours or do anything special to it before I start it up? I skimmed the manual in one of the links here and saw nothing, but was afraid that I might of missed something. Can I take it out of the box and start shooting with it? Thanks in advance.

When I got mine the battery had no charge. But it doesn't take all that long to charge the battery since it's a chincy little thing that only lasts maybe 2 hours on a good day.

If you want to take it out of the box and shoot right away, you could do so if you plugged in to AC power. Otherwise, you gotta charge the battery first...
