100a tripod movements... frame jumps

Hey peeps,

Been busy with my dvx100a enjoying it more than the regular 100. I noticed one thing with it when using a tripod... didnt really noticed when i had my old 100.

I usaully forget to turn off "the OIS button" before tripod shots. When i do pans, tilts or any slow movements with the tripod the frame will sometimes jump!

Has anyone else notice this before?
Why does it do that... with OIS on?
Shouldnt really matter... with it ON or OFF when using tripod?!?

The optical image stabilizer (OIS) is just trying to do the job it's supposed to do; it's trying to compensate for your movements and then gives-up and renormalizes to the current frame.

Remember to turn it off for mounted shots. It's that simple.

IMO - the OIS is a weak link in the DVX 100 and (I asusme 100A). Canon seems to have the OIS thing nailed down. Not Panasonic.
