Payment plans

Is there anywhere that offers a payment plan on the 100 or the 100a?

What do you mean by "payment plan"?

payment plan

I mean does anywhere have a plan where you pay off the camera by paying a fixed amount over a certain period of time. Something like what musician's friend has for musical instruments (monthly payments).

Ah, I think you mean a "lay away" plan where you pay a store over time and, once you've paid for the camera it's yours?

No store is going to hand you a camera until you've paid for it in some satisfactory manner or arranged for some type of credit plan. "Lay away" plans are, for the most part, a bygone artifact of the mid-20th century before credit became so easy to get.

A credit card would, of course, be the normal manner of credit payment.

But Texas business practices are sometimes -different- than the rest of the country, particularly independently-owned businesses (there are still one or two). Call around.

You might want to take the money you were going to use as payments, set it aside and pay for it in cash when you've got enough. The trouble with payments, unless you own a business where you can write off the interest, is that once you've paid anything electronic off, it's not only completely obsolite, you've wound up paying for it many times over, due to the interest.
