automatic mode

Does anyone know how to start the dvx100A in automatic mode instead of manual. YOu have to press the auto button on to turn to auto. Sometimes i pick up the camera to run and gun or turn it off and then shoot later only to find afterwards its in manual- very annoying. The menu does not seem to allow you this.

When in auto mode a green A appears on the upper middle left of the LCD. I would just get in the habit of looking for that.

What mode are you attempting to shoot in?
