Thanks all

I have finally ordered my DVX100A! It will be here on the 9th, thanks to evsonline.com (nice to work with).

This forum has been a huge help in deciding what camera to buy, where to buy, and what tape to use (AY-DVM63MQ). I have been reading these boards for close to a year. I finally joined up when I knew I was going to be getting the camera. I have checked and read reviews (tons of reviews) on Canon, Sony, and Panasonic, and watched a billion :) video clips, just to determine what camera to buy.

Thanks, everybody, for the info you provided. Once I start using this camera, I hope to contribute here. I have 2 jobs coming up, one commercial (filming in June) and a wedding (in May). I'm not a big fan of weddings, but trying to break into the biz, so... :)

Thanks again,
Michael Petro

Congratulations! You are going to love it. Happy filming!

Michael,
Good for you! As Imran said, you're in for a good time. It's nigh near impossible not to fall in love with this camera. (This, coming from someone who bought a DVX100 mainly to see what the fuss was about...then bought the 100A after being hooked.)

Your remarks about lurking here for a year remind me, actually all of us, just how many lurkers we really have and how important it is to mind our P's and Q's, eh?

We look forward to hear from you after your first MQ reaches its end!
