dvx 100 setup

Let me first say that this message board in the best on the internet. Everyone has been very helpful on all types of issues.
Im looking for an manual or info. that explains the setup options. The panasonic manual tells you what they are but not what they do and WHEN then should be used. I am an entry level film maker and have no experience with the DVX100. For example the timecode settings are totally perplexing to me and how they differ in the 3 modes is not covered in the factory manual. I appreciate any guidance on this issue.

I don't own the camera but I might be able to tell you what those
timecode modes are for if you list them. Basically if it isn't
explained too much it will be an advanced option that you will
most probably not need at this stage of your "adventure".

Thanks for the kind words, Hugh. When you're here, you're home.

You'll definitely want to get yourself a copy of Steve Mllen's DVX Guide. And also check out Panasonic's DVX Menu Set-up Brochure, it's a free download. Plus all the helpful feedback you'll get from your fellow members here.
