DVX100A - Upgraded Version!?

hmm, looking into purchasing a dvx100a in the near future, so im looking through the b&h product listing for the dvx100a, and i see an "updated version" for sale here....

what exactly does that mean!? any insight would help!

The DVX100a is an upgraded version of the DVX100. Search around on the board for a list of what exactly is different.

ahh ok. i thought there was an upgrade UPON the upgraded version of the dvx100 (dvx100A).

that's misleading...obviously the dvx100a is the newer/upgraded version, why would they need to put "upgraded version" in the product description!?

Well there is about to be a DVX100B, so maybe that's what they were referring to... no difference at all in feature set; just a change in some of the materials used in construction to make it globally compliant with some environmental mandates. Hope this helps,

Chris, is that definite? I have heard about the material changes, but as far as additional changes, Jan was very coy... I am hoping for 16x9 chips. NAB in two weeks
