Can I use a Sony 58mm tele lens on a DVC30...

using a Step Up Rings from 43mm to 58mm? Or the Step Up Rings are just for filters? I am afraid the tele lens is to heavy for the camera lens.....

Any info about will be very apreciated

I'm sure you probably can, but you will have severe vignetting at everything but full telephoto.

I think you mean you have a camera with 43 mm filter threads and you want to use a 58 mm lens in front using step-up rings. Is this right Federico? In which case you'll be absolutely fine, and Stefan's wrong - you'll be able to use lots of the zoom before vignetting occurs. Of course the 58 mm optic will be a big and heavy lump though.

I do this all the time with my VX2000 lenses on my diminutive MX300, as shown here:

Frederico,

I use this setup on my DVC 30 and it works great.

You know, I always wanted to try that lens out on my GL1, how does it do against a basic 2x telephoto?
