Six DVX Scene Settings
 

Hey all,

I made a video that runs through samples of the 6 Scene Settings on my DVX100a camera, and then below, I posted the specific settings that make them up. I apologize in advance for the lack of an interesting subject.

Name Explanation:
I called this one "Office" because it's got a desaturated kind of look like they used on The Office(s). Dull, uninteresting.

Name Explanation:
These are the default settings for Scene #2 - it's in the video just for comparison purposes.

Name Explanation:
This name, "Diet," goes along with what I called Scene #6 (On Fire). "On Fire" stems from "Man on Fire," and "Diet" is a little less dramatic version of On Fire, in terms of the rich coloring and darkness.

Name Explanation:
This one's called "Drama" because it's dark, and "moody." I don't know what that means, but it comes in handy when you've got enough light to tone it down a little.

Name Explanation:
This one's where I keep the scene dial by default. The colors are rich, the contrast is way up there, and it makes for fun color correcting in post. Like I explained earlier, the "On Fire" comes from the movie "Man On Fire," because the looks can be pretty similar.

ive got some film like colour grades but im a lil busy to fish out my cams right now. I also have some multicam configs for 100 and 100a and matching the 2.

does anyone else have any other scene file settings they like to use?
i'm playing around with diffrent settings right now, trying to find which ones i like the best and was wondering what everyone else uses!?

cant wait for teh HVX.. all well need to do is upload teh lil buggers and save having to type...lol
