DVX100 or Xl1s?

On standard mode (60i) wich camera has a better overall picture xl1s or dvx100?

I shoot alot in night clubs and concert halls. I usually shoot at 30/1 with PD-150.
It really brings out the ambient lighting in night clubs, plus I don't need to blast the cam. light as much. Has anyone shoot 30p at 30/1 or even 24p 24/1 with the dvx100?

They are both good cams but the DVX100 has higher resolution and a 24P mode. Maybe you need or want 24P, maybe you don't. Both cams have 1/3" CCDs. You really should try them for yourself to see which one you like better after comparing their specs.

I know you're asking about picture quality, so if you're going to be using the wide-angle a lot, then the XL1s has got to be the biz with the 3x zoom. But it's renowned for being not so good in low light and I would expect the newer X100 to beat it by a stop or two.

But what finally made me pass on the XL1s? The side-screen! Yup - it's useless, whereas the one on the X100 is most excellent.
