Shooting at the Sun with your dvx
 
i did some timelapse of a sunset where the sun is quite bright for 30 minutes using nd filter 8... till sundown... Did a sun shot behind the clouds (quite harsh) for 1 minute nd filter 64.
Will these shoots do permanent damage to my ccds? If a damage has occured, will it surface immediately or in the long run?

There's another thread on a GS400 used in the same way - about 4 posts away from this. Go take a look at the thread Shierdan.

Of course your DVX100 doesn't have auto ND filtration, but I see you obeyed the screen's silent scream and dialled them in. In which case you're most probably fine, and if the camera works right now, then you've not damaged anything. If it's fine now it'll be fine tomorrow, too.
