Tamron 28-75 F/2.8 EF lens is a winner

The Tamron EF mount lens I received today is a great lens for the money. I like the looks of it's images very much so far. It doesn't have the range of the Panasonic 14-140mm, but I'll take the f/2.8 over f/4.0-5.6 any day.

The Panasonic 14-140mm produces VERY nice images with sufficient light, but it is not fast enough for me. Hence the Tamron is the one for me, and with two zoom lenses, I feel pretty good about my wedding tomorrow.

Will do won't be using it for pics tomorrow, at all, unfortunately. I'll be concentrating on video all day. My getting ready lens will probably be the 30mm.

Curious, Jeff. Why EF mount over Nikon, which has an aperture ring and therefore able to be controlled manually on the GH2?

The lens was a mistake of the first order, I am shocked to see this post come up, I must eat my words.

Lens was useless in multicam situations, impossible to match up to other GH2s using higher grade lenses when used in low light, which I didn't know until I used it for actual weddings.

Anyway, I didn't need aperture ring as the lens was only used at wedding ceremonies and wedding receptions where it would always be wide open.

I use no lenses with adapters any longer, use only M 4/3 lenses. The days of adapters and old Canon lenses seems like a lifetime ago, so glad it's over.
