Interesting. Did you do much colour grading or did it look like this straight off the camera? It looks a lot like an 8mm home movie.

I color corrected the first two clips because I had white balance set wrong... other than that, no grading or effects whatsoever.

I once did the same thing with a piece of aluminum foil covering the lens mount area, then punching a tiny hole into it. How big is your hole? Mine was the tiniest I could make it with a pin.

Although I never experimented with other materials, I would think that the thinner the material, the sharper the image would be due to diffraction at the pinhole. Also, the smaller the hole, the deeper the depth of field would be.

Main hole is about 3/16" dia, and the blackwrap hole is just as you mentioned... as small as I could make it with a pinhead, and still let enough light in to take video at ISO3200. Generally, that's the choice you have:
- narrower pinholes have sharper focus (relatively) but require long exposures, and can vignette
- wider pinholes have softer focus but let in more light

Additionally, you can change the FOV with your pinhole's distance from the sensor... eg, the commercially available "Pinwide" sets the pinhole quite far back into the body, and you can actually get "telephoto" with your pinhole by extending it outward. Hm... I'm inspired to fiddle with some more blackwrap, paper towel rolls, and the sun...

I've played with pinhole photography since highschool, but this is the first chance I've gotten to take it into the 21st century (relatively speaking). Since it's incomparably cheap, it's a great place to experiment.
