GH2....A real backsaver

Shot my first wedding Saturday with the GH2. I hired Jeff, a photog friend of mine, to shoot on the FX1000 as a backup to the GH2 that I was using, just because I was unsure to what I was doing. I shot with the GH2 on a Merlin pretty much from 1:00 in the afternoon to 10:30 that night except for the 35 minute ceremony. Jeff did alot of hand held with the FX. At the reception we got caught by surprise with the toast and couldn't get to the tripods, man it seemed like they lasted forever. I sent Jeff a text Sunday morning asking him how he felt and if he was sore. He replied back only his neck, back, legs and arms otherwise he felt pretty good.

I felt great with no soreness.......I think I'm gonna like this GH2!

Yes, flying a GH2 vs a standard video cam is so much easier on the body =)

Which lens did you use, the 20mm or 12mm?

Yeah, the 12mm is great.

Yeah, it's just to wide at times. I see I'm gonna need something in the 40mm range that responds as well as the 12mm. For the first dance I had the dance floor flanked with the FX's on the sides and I was flying in between in the front. With the 12mm it was hard not to get one or both of the other cameras in the shot, not to mention the photog. I felt like I had to stick the camera in there face to get the shot I wanted.
