GH1 Batteries on a plane

The batteries are Lithium and have been banned by the over zealous air industry security so what can I do if I want to take my GH1 overseas? Has anybody here encountered airports confiscating batteries for cameras?? Any ideas pleasse?

Re: GH1 Batteries on a plane

The batteries for a GH1 are small and fine on domestic flights in the United States.

Safe Travel

It is possible regulations at Indonesian airports are different. But if notebook computers are allowed, surely a small digital camera is allowed. Check these threads:

Besides the battery in the camera, how many additional batteries are you taking?

I've had it with all these mudpuckin' GH1 batteries on this mudpuckin' plane!

I've flown with GH2, HVX, and AF100 batteries in carry-on. Plus cell phone and laptop batteries (which are also Li-on). Never had a problem.
