Please help me design a rig for my GH2

Well...Ive been through a lot of cameras, accessories and wasted a lot of money learning...oh well its only money.
Ive decided the GH2 and GH3 will fit my needs, both for movies and stills.
I'd like to get more into narrative filming/music videos and want to design a rig that is adequate , but not break the bank.

Ive seen some nice rigs on the forums, but it's hard to know which "parts" to purchase and sooo many options.
this one looks great....> http://www.dvinfo.net/forum/panasoni...allhd-dp6.html

My rig would include..
GH2
Rode mic
Zoom recorder
7" marshall monitor or my loupe
I need advice on..
Rails
Follow focus unit
Matt box
Quick release to go off tripod when needed.

If you know of a vendor with a complete KIT available..please let me know.
Pics appreciated.
Thanks,
Jeff

Re: Please help me design a rig for my GH2

I really like Jag35's line of stuff. You can basically customize any of their rigs. I'd start with one of their shoulder rigs, and add anything you feel necessary. I used to have their straight rig with a Jag35 monitor, but took off the rails and ordered new rails and an offset bar to bring the camera to my face. Now I just monitor through the EVF. The monitor was bulky, low res, and too bright and distracting to use when filming live events. They have a tripod plate that allows you to quickly attach and remove the rig to a tripod. I'd add a follow focus. I have one with a gear that goes around the lens. Their gearless follow focus looks really nice, but for my offset rig, it would be a little out of reach to keep one hand on a handle while using my fingers to rotate the knob, as I do now.

Here's a discussion from not too long ago: http://www.dvinfo.net/forum/general-...rtscenter.html

I've also put together a rigging guide, not for the GH2, but it should help nonetheless: http://www.dvinfo.net/forum/general-...ma-camera.html
