GH2 with 14-42mm lens at Samy's for $549
 

I though when I bought my GH2 with the 14-42mm lens at Samy's last month for $649 it was a good deal. Now they have it for $549. If you buy a second lens you get a free camera bag and 32GB SD card. If it is the same bag I got last month, it's a very nice bag that will hold the camera and a few accessories or a small lens. The SD card I got was 16GB made by Patriot and it looks like that will be the same brand. I also got the 17mm lens and got $75 off because I bought it with the camera. I see that offer is still valid until the end of the year.

You have to touch the "Weekly Ad" in the upper right hand to see the sale prices. When I bought my camera last month, you had to call Samy's to get the discounted price.

I also noticed just now that the 20mm 1.7 lens is $279 if you buy it with the GH2.

Guess I spent an extra $104 buy biting the apple too early :-(

That's OK Bill.....you still got a great camera for the price.
Im still waiting.....maybe the GH2 will come down another hundred.....ya think?

I think there is a chance because I bought my GH1 with 14-42 mm lens in January of 2011 for $408 directly from Panasonic. In order to get the deal I think you had to be a Facebook member of Panasonic. I also am a Consumer Electronic member and the pricing can be quite different between those two.

The current ad at this moment has a new price of $599. Hope some people were able to take advantage of the $549 price.
