+\- Exposure Button on GH3

Does anyone use this for M Video mode?
Curious he it adjusts exposure. Does it change SS? Does it work while recording?
Wondering if this is a better way for me to adjust exposure when I have a fixed SS and aperture, rather than relying simply on iso.

Works for me in this way and it can be used when shooting. I use a fixed SS and auto exposure. Helps to get better exposure when there is a lot of backlight. One thing though, when shooting it doesn't change instantaneously. Just a bit of a lag and it is not a smooth transition in values - quite jerky.

I have been experimenting with it, but in M mode for video I mostly fix aperture and ISO and then vary shutter. I have noticed that the little +/- indicator will go positive or negative as I adjust the other variables.

On a sort of related note - sorry to hijack your thread - does anyone know what overexpose level the black/white flashing highlight is set to represent? 70%? Is this adjustable somewhere?
