GH3 - Turn Timecode off in .MOV files

I'd like to send timecode via audio to the GH3 from an external source, but the GH3 generates its own timecode and this won't work. I don't see any options to turn this off (except for using MP4 files).

Anyone know of a way to do this? A hack?

Thanks.

This is an interesting, old school way to sync the camera. My question is how are you going to read the audio TC later for editing? Does any editing program read audio TC?

Yes. Davinci Resolve now does as does Avid. (I use the former.)
