GH2 saved as .mov and not .mts and footage is TERRIBLE

I use 2 GH2's for wedding videos and I am reviewing some footage that I took and on only 1 of the 4 cards used one of my cameras (not sure which camera) wrote all of the footage in .mov file type. I NEVER change my settings on my camera off of AVCHD(1080I). I have been shooting with these camera for 3 - 4 years now and have never had this happen.

So when I tried to log and transfer through FCP 7 the shots did not even show up. When I went to Private / AVCHD / BDMV / Stream (the directory to find them) they were not there. The camera saved them under the DCIM / 101_Pana directory as .mov files.

My question is there anyway to convert these back? This footage in TERRIBLE and pixelated, it looks fine in the camera but really bad in FCP.

Please help!!!

It sounds like the GH2 was set to record in MJPEG instead of AVCHD for some reason.

I know it is recorded that way, but that was the camera I used and I NEVER change those settings it is a couple of steps to change it. Is there anyway I can convert the tiles?

You can convert the files, but I am not sure that will change the quality at all. Try MPEG Streamclip as a free option.
