Hi all just wondering if anyone is using this combination and with what lenses and do they recommend it?

Any info would be appreciated

Kind regards

Re: GH4 and Canon FD Lenses?

I have a 50mm f/1.4 FDn. It's nice for a film look, but it's nowhere near as sharp as the newer m4/3 lenses.

That is also my experience. Unless you are going for the softer look I would stick with Panasonic or Olympus m4/3 lenses. I noticed a unpleasing color shift in my experiments with FD lenses on the GH4.

Voitlander and Rokinon are great native options, too.

Re: GH4 and Canon FD Lenses?

I have a range of FD prime lenses and love the look. I've used them on the GH2 & GH4 and they are my 1st choice unless I need a zoom lens.

Re: GH4 and Canon FD Lenses?

Cheers gents for the info, I've been after a fast short lens (on a very tight budget) for filming my mates band gig, For the sake of 100.00 for a couple of FD lenses plus the converter of course though it might be worth a punt :-)

Patrick the 50 mm 1.4 was one of the lenses I was looking at :-)

For your purposes I'm sure it'll work fine.
