There are HDMI / USB games capture encoders that are a lot cheaper. I have Elgato HD and Avermedia. Which works fine for me.

Still experimenting with this. HDMI transmitter / reciever to Elgato HD to laptop with tethering to 4g phone. (Supposedly 300 ft range )

Well, looks like I am going to buy the Vidi U Pro. I will also be upgrading my Verizon account to the Unlimited Everything plan including a dedicated hotspot device. That should make things work well enough. Stay tuned!
