Ok troubleshooting time!!

Apart from my genuine Lumix BLC12 batteries I also have two ProMaster BLC12 batteries and yesterday I put one into one of our FZ1000's and the lens extended the full length and the screen went black ..no error messages no reason for it doing so .. if I switched off and on ...nothing happened at all ..the lens just stayed fully extended with a blank LCD no lights or indication and the lens refused to retract backwards.

If I took out the ProMaster and dropped in a Lumix battery ..the lens then retracted and the camera works perfectly. I have used both ProMaster batteries previously without any issues. Both batteries show 8.1v on the outside terminals so they are fully charged. Anyone had this issue or have any solutions???
